Having first-hand experience of your deep faith and generous spirit, and compelled by our parish’s current and future physical needs, we confidently launch this Capital Campaign, Furthering our Mission, Securing our Future. Your consistent and generous response to our many and varied requests over the past fifty-three years is the backbone of our community. Confident of your continued generosity and deep commitment, I sincerely ask for your financial support to enable us to construct an Early Learning Center and Church Annex.
Ever since our inception in 1960, God has lavished us with bountiful graces and blessings. The vibrancy of our various gatherings, the participation of so many in the ongoing life of the parish, the unique spirit that pervades who we are, and your transparent holiness and deep faith convinces me that God is “surely in this place.” Your concern for your neighbor as in Matthew 25 and your service to others as in Gaudium et Spes has taken precedence and made our faith-community very special. You respond wholeheartedly to the Lord’s call to be Salt, Leaven and Light.
As wonderful as these past fifty-three years have been, we realize that our best years are still ahead of us. I am reminded of the words of Cardinal Suenens, Who would have said that the love and imagination of God are exhausted? To hope is a duty, not a luxury. To hope is not to dream, but to turn dreams into reality. The two buildings we are planning to construct and their rationale are described in this booklet. Both the Early Learning Center and the Church Annex are essential for our parish’s future well-being. They will enable us to implement more effectively our Parish Mission Statement: To connect people with God and each other in the context of our Catholic Faith.
Our needs determine our goals! Quoting from the preface of the Mass on the Solemnity of Christ the King, our goal is to advance and make present in this place, God’s kingdom of truth and life, a kingdom of holiness and grace, a kingdom of justice, love and peace. I humbly and earnestly ask you to be as generous as your circumstances allow. As the hymn says, we are companions on the journey! Your participation, whether large or small, is vital to the success of our campaign.
Thanking you for your active participation in the life of our parish and commending you to and thus further your mission in transmitting our Catholic faith and securing a future filled with hope. the intercession of our Patron, St. Philip Neri, asking God to bless you and your family with lasting peace, good health and much personal fulfillment in all that you do, I remain
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Father Harry Bugler
